About Hodges Family Practice
Hodges Family Practice has a very dedicated, welcoming, and focused team. Our team consists of Doctors, Physician assistants, Nurses, Health Coaches, Lifestyle Coaches and Nurse Educators. We provide 24/7 access for health advice to our patients and providers are available by phone and via the patient portal with direct messaging. There is 24 hours direct access to our providers on Fridays after 5 pm until 7 am Monday morning.
Hodges Family Practice works closely with the area urgent cares to provide after hour care and on weekends. Our goal is to prevent unnecessary hospital ER visits. The area urgent care provides a record of your visit for the continuity of care of the patient. Hodges Family Practice works directly with all medical and surgical specialties to provide co-management of medical issues. Included in this is mental health care. Randolph County has 1 primary provider of mental health care and Hodges Family Practice works together with Daymark to provide treatment for mental health issues. In the event of a mental health crisis they provide immediate walk in care as needed.

Our Providers
Dr. Beth Hodges Dr. Beth Hodges grew up in Ohio. Her father was a family doctor, and she developed her love of medicine assisting him with house calls. She attended Wright State University and went on to graduate from the medical school there before completing her Family Medicine residency in Newport News, Virginia. She moved to Asheboro and opened Hodges Family Practice with her husband in 1999. As their practice has grown, so has their family. They now have three teenagers, three dogs, one cat and 27 goldfish. Dr Beth also became Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in 2010 and works part time with Pruitt Hospice. She is also a Medical Director for Triad Healthcare Network and HealthTeam Advantage. Dr. Francisco Hodges Dr. Francisco Hodges attended college at the University of California San Diego and medical school at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his residency in Family Medicine in Newport News, Virginia. He opened Hodges Family Practice in Asheboro with his wife in 1999. In addition to his private practice, he is the Medical Director for several skilled nursing facilities and a Medical Director for HealthTeam Advantage. He loves coaching soccer and collecting comic book art in his spare time. Kimberly Underkoffler, PA-C, MSPAS Kimberly is originally from Pennsylvania where she attended Pennsylvania State University for her undergraduate degree in Biobehavioral Health. She continued her education at Slippery Rock University for her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Kimberly came down to North Carolina to escape the Pennsylvania winters to start her career in Family Medicine. She enjoys the diversity of topics seen in Family Medicine on a regular basis, but in particular she enjoys women's health, diabetes management, and acute care. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys hiking, running and traveling with her husband and pets. Dr. Irma Santiago Dr. Irma M Santiago graduated medical school from The University of New Mexico in 2009 and completed her residency in 2012 specializing in Family & Community Medicine. Dr. Santiago is bilingual, and is fully fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Santiago is especially interested in preventative medicine, women’s health and chronic disease management. She moved to North Carolina in 2018 with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading, baking and small town living. David Herring, PA-C David Herring is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) and joined Hodges Family Practice in 2021. He is licensed with the North Carolina Medical Board, and certified by the National Commission of Certifying Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in 2017. His medical interests include preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries. David is a North Carolina native and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his family. |
